Welcome to Marischal College

Marishal College is the site of the Office of Social Work. In 1946 VSA employed the first trained social worker with the Association. VSA was also instrumental in the establishment of the first social services course at Aberdeen University. The first course began in 1966 and was only feasible because the Association was able to make enough social care placements available to students and to supervise their work.
