Welcome to the YMCA

Here we see the YMCA building. We stop here to celebrate the life of William Sangster, a Chairman of the Association back in the 1920’s. He was a friend of the poor and gave his best to relieve the suffering of humanity. He supported local charities, the YMCA, the hospital and getting people into jobs. He was a huge advocate for free public libraries and instrumental in making this happen in Aberdeen.
